Swiss payroll deductions

This page estimates employee payroll-net after Swiss 1st-pillar social contributions for a full-year salaried job in 2026. “Net” here means gross minus AHV, IV, EO and ALV, plus any pension or accident amounts you type from a payslip. It is not after-tax take-home pay and not a payslip.

Supported profile: full-year salaried employee, one job, annual wage in Swiss francs. Not self-employed, not withholding-tax tariffs, not ordinary income tax.

Gross pay

Use a dot as the decimal separator, for example 6500 or 32.50.

Currency: CHF. Statutory Swiss rules are not converted from other currencies.

Working assumptions

Results depend on these working-time and payment assumptions. Defaults match a full-time year: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, 52 weeks per year, no unpaid weeks, and 12 salary payments per year.

Unpaid weeks are subtracted from weeks per year before converting hourly, daily, and weekly pay.

Use 12 for a typical monthly salary. Use 13 if you receive a thirteenth salary payment.

Same currency as the pay amount. Added after the period conversion. Leave blank if none.

Optional amounts from your payslip (annual CHF)

Leave blank to omit. Blank is not treated as zero. These figures are yours, not FSC16 statutory rates.

From your pension plan. There is no universal Swiss employee percentage.

From your insurer or payslip. Premiums vary; this page does not invent a national rate.

Questions

Is this my take-home pay after tax?

No. This estimate is payroll-net after 1st-pillar social contributions (and optional payslip amounts you type). Swiss ordinary income tax and withholding tax are not calculated.

Which 2026 deductions does FSC16 calculate?

Employee AHV, IV and EO at the official combined 5.3% share, and employee ALV at 1.1% up to CHF 148,200 per employment. Occupational pension and accident insurance are only included when you provide annual amounts.

Why do I need to type pension and accident amounts?

Those deductions depend on your pension fund and accident insurer. FSC16 does not invent a Swiss-wide percentage.
